The safe and reliable delivery of our energy products is the number one priority of Westfield Gas + Electric. Neighborhoods between Lewellyn Dr. and Bates Rd. likely have noticed that there has been a pause in the federally funded gas reconstruction project. While new gas main has been installed, due to unforeseen circumstances, gas reconstruction will not resume this year.
Crews will be returning to begin temporary street restoration where main was installed within the next week. This work is expected to take approximately two weeks. We expect to return to the area as soon as resources allow, to complete the remaining work to individual customers’ gas service lines. It is possible that this work will be delayed until next spring.
