Westfield Gas + Electric announced that its Home Plus Program is now open to all eligible Westfield homeowners. Previously available only to residents in designated areas, the program now extends its benefits city-wide, giving more WG+E customers access to meaningful financial support as they make the switch to energy-efficient heating systems and upgrades.

Home Plus is an innovative financing program designed to help Westfield homeowners transition to energy-efficient heat pump systems while improving their home’s overall efficiency. Eligible residents can receive up to $27,000 in funding for heat pump installations and qualified home improvements, including energy-efficient windows, exterior doors, and insulation as recommended by the required free energy audit.

“This expansion is a meaningful step forward in making clean energy upgrades accessible to every homeowner in Westfield,” said Tom Flaherty, General Manager of Westfield Gas + Electric. “Home Plus was designed with our community in mind, and we’re proud to remove barriers and bring these financial resources to more of our customers.”

Eligible homeowners must:

  • Currently heat their homes with oil, wood, propane, or electric baseboard systems
  • Own and reside in a home in Westfield
  • Be a current Westfield Gas + Electric customer in good standing

Residents in designated areas may also be eligible for an additional $3,500 incentive toward an electrical panel upgrade. Westfield homeowners can visit https://www.wgeld.org/form-pages/home-plus/ to check the map for eligibility, apply, or learn more.

These changes will be effective June 1, 2026, per M.D.P.U. #266. Visit our Customer Service office at 100 Elm Street or see our website for the revised tariff and program details.
