Westfield Gas + Electric makes it easy for low-income families and households requiring financial assistance to get the help they need.

  1. Valley Opportunity Council (VOC): A federally-funded program aimed at helping low-income families and individuals pay their heating bills during the winter. The level of assistance is based on household income and family size. View our program eligibility guidelines below.   2. Salvation Army Good Neighbor Energy Fund: The Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund provides energy assistance to residents in temporary crisis who are struggling to pay their energy bills and slightly ineligible according to the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. For more information, contact the Salvation Army at 413-977-8759.
  3. Way Finders: Continues to assist many WG+E customers experiencing a financial hardship due to the impact of the pandemic. They work closely with the Massachusetts Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD) to provide services for safe living environments and financial assistance for past due utilities. For more information, contact Way Finders at 413-233-1500.
  4. Westfield Warm Fund: Customers who qualify for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program and continue to make monthly payments on their accounts may request additional assistance.
